Is Saul’s plea better than bad refraction?

Objectively speaking, breaking the bad and the best calling Saul nearly achieved opposing goals: bad details breaking the cost of a good man turned evil; Better Call Saul explains how the evil man ultimately seeks to find some good in himself. In that sense, both shows are equal in terms of effectively achieving their own storytelling goals.
In terms of actually getting people to sit back and watch, Better Call Saul doesn’t really have a lot of extensive access without Breaking Bad as a commodity. Even if you’ve seen Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul still requires some major tweaks to get used to. Meanwhile, it’s as easy to fall into a Breaking Bad movie as any suspense crime movie ever.
